Accor and Trust Contracting Sign 200-Key ibis Hotel for Sidi Kerir

Accor and Trust Contracting and Real Estate Investment Company have signed an agreement for ibis North Coast Sidi Kerir, a 200-key hotel planned for a seafront location around 40 minutes west of Alexandria.

The property is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2029. Announced facilities include a 600-square-metre ballroom, six meeting rooms, a restaurant, bar, fitness centre and swimming pool.

The economy and mid-market positioning distinguishes the project from much of the luxury-led North Coast pipeline. Its location near the coastal road and Borg El Arab International Airport may support leisure, corporate and events demand, although year-round performance will depend on transport, services and winter occupancy.

For surrounding developers, an international operator can broaden accommodation choices and introduce recognised operating standards. It may also support events and business visits that require dependable hotel inventory outside Alexandria.

Buyers should separate the hotel-management agreement from guarantees about nearby residential values. The opening remains more than three years away, and final delivery depends on construction, approvals and operating preparations.

Invest-Gate reported the signing and Hotel Management Network independently confirmed the 200-room plan, location and scheduled opening. Neither report disclosed the project’s investment cost, financing structure or construction timetable.
